Teaching Beyond Flashcards Curriculum

The Teaching Beyond Flashcards Curriculum

Are you looking for an English language curriculum for young learners? Look no further than the Teaching Beyond Flashcards Curriculum. These projects are perfect for teachers who are teaching English abroad and in English-speaking countries.

Let the TBF Curriculum take the stress out of lesson planning.

All of our lessons are developmentally appropriate and aim to encourage vocabulary building and English conversation through repetition and building on previous knowledge.  Every lesson comes with songs that can easily be found on YouTube as well as stories. Each project will include flashcards with both illustrated and real pictures as well as posters to display in class and activities. The projects can be used for all young learning age groups starting from age 2. These lesson plans are scaffolded from the "learning," "reaching," and "knowing" stages.

The learning stage is perfect for young children who are just getting familiar with English and very young children ages 2 to 3-years-old. In this stage, we focus on building vocabulary and just having fun with songs and stories. It's recommended for all ages to start here.

The reaching stage is the next stage and is for children who able to expand their thinking and try to converse and answer questions in English. You may find that your 3-year-old students may or may not be comfortable here, but your 4 and 5-year-olds can do well.

The knowing stage is the final stage and is for children who are ready to participate in simple discussions in English.  They can both answer and ask questions by the end of this unit. You may find that some of your 4-year-olds may struggle here, but your older students may do well.

We at TBF hope that these projects will be a big hit in your classroom and help you reduce the stress of planning and increase the fun in your lessons.
